The One Motorcycle Show 2022

Recap of the 13th Annual Gathering of Cool Bikes, Wild Stunts and Awesome Art

Last weekend saw the 13th annual rendition of one of our favorite events, The One Motorcycle Show, held as always in the mossy environs of Portland, OR. Hosted by Thor Drake and the cycle savants at See See Motorcycles, the moto hoedown has become one of the better displays of custom builds in the States, right up there with Mama Tried and The Handbuilt Show, showcasing a diverse variety of bikes and builders, while adding layers of moto-inspired art and music to the two-wheel mix as well.

You couldn’t miss this eye-popping 1952 Crosley Marusho salt flat racer from Morto near the entrance.

Repeating as host venue was the cavernous Zidell Barge Building, a massive open-air structure looming over the river just south of downtown. The almost century-old shipyard oozes old grease and rusty metal, creating a nicely textured backdrop for out-of-this world builds, a lineup of local and national bands, the 21 Helmets art show, stunt displays and dozens of vendors.

With Indian Motorcycle back for a fourth year as the main sponsor and a format much the same as last year, the three day circus drew enthusiasts from all over the country. Here’s a sampling of just some of the 250 bikes on display. RC
